Frequently Asked Questions

Why Choose Bas Bartending School?

Bas Bartending School was the first in Europe and has been around since 1983. We have a tried and tested procedure that produces the best cocktail bartenders from scratch. Bas Bartending School puts its students first; we listen to individual goals and make them happen. Our training program works and so will you.

Why is Bas Bartending School so much cheaper than other schools?

Our training is as intense as other schools but we have just One Bas Bartending School at a single location just outside of central London with only 12 people in a class; it’s an elite, cream of the crop operation and we have no reason to charge more.

What’s the difference between Bas Bartending School and other bartending schools?

The main difference is that we personally help you obtain job interviews at the cocktail bars of your choosing. Other schools may send you to job seeking websites or let you find a job on your own after completing their course.

What’s the difference in training between Bas Bartending School and other bartending Schools?

The training involved is very similar; most schools use water and food colouring in old spirit bottles so that when it comes to practising you repeatedly make the cocktails until they are stored in your ‘muscle’ memory. Bas Bartending School has you working behind the bar constantly and almost all theory is left to you in your own time. This ensures that whilst on site you’re behind the bar not reading books. We teach over 100 Cocktails for our 4 Week Course, other bar schools tend to teach less.

Do you have any reviews?

We have many reviews on our site and on Facebook but if you would like an external source check out our review from Emma Cook on the London Evening Standard website

Do you need any experience to attend?

No, you don’t need to have any experience at all. We will teach you everything you need to know from start to finish.

How do Payments work?

You only need a £100 deposit to confirm your booking for any Course. An additional £100 is needed when accommodation is required. The remaining fee will be paid on the start day at the end of class. If you cannot pay prior to or on the start date a payment plan can be arranged at any time.

What do I need to bring?

You don’t really need to bring anything with you, but I suppose a pen is always handy.

Do you get a certificate?

You will receive a certificate of completion after passing the 4 Week Course.

What if I fail?

You will have to retake the exam at a time that suites you and our teachers, but don’t worry we have a 95% pass rate.
